Medley began in autumn 2020 as an initiative exploring art, music and nature’s impacts on health and wellbeing: through a website and blog and through diverse projects.
There are three main aims:
*To build awareness of music, art and nature’s impact
*To create and run art, music and nature projects and activities
*To draw people together to share ideas and support

Medley has won The Big Draw Festival’s Guest Panellists Award! I’ve run several art for wellbeing projects now as part of The Big Draw Festivals, such as my Birds A-Z Art for Wellbeing Challenge, and the Award recognized Medley for encouraging participants to experiment and build confidence and for boosting mental wellbeing. Thank you so much to The Big Draw and to everyone who supports what I’m trying to do.
Medley looks at nature, music and art’s role in everyday life and also specifically at their impacts on people facing a range of particular issues. These might be stroke, dementia, caring responsibilities, sight loss, autism, mental health issues, anxiety, depression, disability, hearing loss or chronic illness.
Art is integral to Medley, but so too are nature and music. This intersectional approach combines all three to boost wellbeing in as many different ways as possible.
Why Medley? The name highlights the many different ways music, art and nature impact on us and the diverse experiences we all have.
